Well, it finally happened, the rain we have prayed for all Summer. I think now the question is, how do we turn it off? We’re talking 3, 4, 5 inches and more. It’s beginning to look a lot like Fall at HPV. On October 13th they are going to have a Taste of Fall in the Activity Room. The residents will get a chance to sample canning and baking for the Fall Season. If any of you would be willing to share a jar of your favorite Fall canning or a favorite Fall dish or baked item, we would be most grateful. If you have any questions

We have 3 months left of our 2026 Fundraiser, which is new wheelchairs. If you’d like to make a memorial or donation to this project, there is still time. Thanks so much to those of you who have already donated.
What’s going on the week of October 4th to October 10th:
Sunday October 4th-10:00 am Worship and Dessert and Coffee in the Coffee Shop from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Monday October 5th-Room Visits, Balloon Ball, Trivia, One to Ones, Bingo and Beverage Cart.
Tuesday October 6th-Room Visits, Iced Coffee Cart, Trivia, Lunch Bunch (Pizza & Pop), One to Ones, Beverage Cart and Music at 3:00 p.m. by the Hamiltons in the chapel.
Wednesday October 7th-Room Visits, Alyx and the Boys’ Visit, Popcorn, Worship, Trivia, Pie and Coffee in the Coffee Shop 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Beverage Cart, Bible Study and One to Ones.
Thursday October 8th-Room Visits, Apple Turnover Baking with Faye Duncan, Blackjack, One to Ones, Bingo and Birthday Party for Joan D.
Friday October 9th-Room Visits, Manicures and Hand Massages, Fall Pumpkin Craft in the Activity Room and One to Ones.
Saturday October 10th-Trivia, Wheel of Fortune, Beverage Cart and One to Ones.
Happy Birthday this week goes out to Caroline Knudson and Piper Retzlaff. Happy Birthday! Congratulations to Pastor Bruce and Ann Vold on the birth of their 5th Grandchild, Grace Ann. Blessings to baby Grace and her family.
Fall is in full swing and I’m sure after all this rain, there will be some lawn mowing. If you find anytime, as long as you’re well, come on out for a visit, there is always someone here that would enjoy your company.
If you haven’t come out for Wednesday Pie Day, please join us. We’d love to have you. Britta Pederson and Kristen Hanson are doing a great job baking for us and we are so appreciative. Their baking is awesome; it’s a weekly adventure in pie choices. Hatton Prairie Village, home of the $3.50 slice of pie and the $.50 bottomless cup of coffee.
