Brr. More chilly, windy weather, but we could have it worse if we lived on the East Coast. Pray for their safety, I saw pictures; it is not good there. So scary.
I hope you are all staying warm, here in ND we seem to push through the cold and survive. We are tuff!
Another reminder about the Giving Hearts Day campaign. It started January 12th and will continue through February 12th. If you would like to participate in this, please go to givinghearts.org and look for Hatton Prairie Village. There is a red donate button, you just click on that and make your donation. Our goal is $5000. This is the first time we have participated in this event.
What’s going on the week of February 1st to February 7th-
Sunday February 1st-Worship with communion at 10:00 am and Coffee and Dessert in the Coffee Shop from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm.
Monday February 2nd-Room Visits, Resident Council, Word Games, Bingo, Beverage Cart, Gift Shop will be open from 3:15 pm-4:00 pm, One to Ones.
Tuesday February 3rd-Room Visits, Jabbering with Joan, Trivia, Waffle Lunch, Create, Beverage Cart, Joan’s Choice, Gift Shop open from 3:15 pm-4:00 pm, One to Ones.
Wednesday February 4th- Room Visits, a Visit with Alyx and the Boys, Worship, Trivia, Popcorn, Pie and Coffee in the Coffee Shop from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Beverage Cart, Bible Study, One to Ones.
Thursday February 5th-Room Visits, Manicures, Sing-a-Long, Trivia, Word/Number Game, Bingo, Beverage Cart, One to Ones.
Friday February 6th-Room Visits, Manicures, Sing-a-Long, Trivia, Gift Shop open from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, One to Ones.
Saturday February 7th-Coffee Shop open from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Trivia, Individual Activities, Beverage Cart with Games, One to Ones.
No birthdays at HPV this week, but if any of you are having one, Birthday Blessings to you!
Our sincerest sympathy to the family of Lois Lenz. Lois lived a wonderful and very long life, 104 years old. Just think of all the things that she saw in her lifetime, and the amount of family that she witnessed growing up to adulthood. May you rest in peace, Lois, you have earned your “angel wings”.
We are still asking your cooperation in not visiting if you have any cold and flu symptoms. I’m happy to say we are pretty healthy here right now and would like to keep it that way. This is for the health or our residents and staff. Many Thanks!
Thanks to all of you who have been coming to Pie and Coffee on Wednesdays and Coffee and Dessert on Sundays. The residents really enjoy seeing all of you, so keep coming! Britta and Kristen continue to be making some pretty good pies. It’s kind of an adventure as they bring something new each week.
We are fast approaching Lent also which begins Wednesday, February 18th. Easter this year is Sunday, April 5th. Really early this year.
That will about do it for the week as we keep pushing through this cold weather. As fast as time goes Spring will be here before you know it. But for now, stay safe, warm, and healthy! Have a great week!
