Hello everyone, it’s Ronda with the weekly HPV news-
So, the weather couldn’t be nicer, you have to really Love Spring in February. Even I quit wearing a Winter jacket, it has been great! Unfortunately, the weatherman has been forecasting some more seasonal weather for the end of this week. I guess paybacks are coming our way. I hope it is not really bad; I really dislike scary Winter travel weather.
Many thanks to all that contributed to our Giving Hearts project during January and February. For the donations and the matched funds, as always, your support of Hatton Prairie Village is amazing, and we couldn’t be more grateful. This was the first time we have participated, and it was a huge success raising $8800, thanks to all of you.
Today we are celebrating Mardi Gras, there are a few beads and some color around to mark the day.
We are also in Lenten Season, and you are more than welcome join us for services if you would like. Services are generally at 10:00 am on Wednesdays and Sundays in our chapel.
What’s going on the week of February 22nd to February 28th-
Sunday February 22nd-10:00 am Worship and the Coffee Shop will be open from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with Coffee and Dessert.
Monday February 23rd-Room Visits, Jenny’s Choice, Trivia, Word Games, Bingo, Beverage Cart and One to Ones.
Tuesday February 24th-Room Visits, Jabbering with Joan, Trivia, Lunch Bunch, Create, Beverage Cart, Joan’s Choice and One to Ones.
Wednesday February 25th-Breakfast Club, Room Visits, Visit with Alyx and the Boys, Lenten Service at 10:00am, Trivia, Popcorn, Pie and Coffee in the Coffee Shop from 1:00 pm t0 4:00, pm Beverage Cart, Bible Study and One to Ones.
Thursday February 26th-Room Visits, Baking with Faye, Trivia, Word Games, Bingo, Beverage Cart and One to Ones.
Friday February 27th-Room Visits, Manicures, Sing-Along Video, Trivia, Beverage Cart and One to Ones.
Saturday February 28th- Trivia, Beverage Cart with Games and One to Ones.
Here we go, celebrating our Student Employees. The Hatton-Northwood Girls Basketball Team are the District #3 Champions! We are so proud to claim Elizabet Pinke (CNA) and Breckyn Wamstad (Dietary) as part of our Team! Way to go Girls! Good Luck in the Regionals. Elizabeth also made the All-Tournament Team and was named Senior Athlete of the Year! A shout out also to their Coach, Tony Evenstad, who was named District #3 Coach of the Year. Go get ’em Thunder Ladies!
We always welcome you at HPV as long as you are healthy! We do love company, especially the residents. If you have any spare time for a visit, come on out. You are also welcome to join us in the Coffee Shop on Sundays and Pie Day on Wednesday. The Dietary gals are doing a great job on the pies with different selections each week. Sometimes I get asked what kind we are having, I just don’t know, but they are always so good. Home of the $3.50 piece of Pie and the $.50 Bottomless cup of Coffee and some Priceless Visiting.
