Hello everyone, it's Ronda with the weekly HPV news-

Cool, crispy and dusty pretty much describes our weather this week.  Fall is definitely here in full strength. The County Fair has come and gone and it was a great day! The day started with baking in the Activity Room, Apple Dumplings for afternoon coffee. The judging started at 1:00 p.m. Barb Huus and I were on again for judging along with Pastor Bruce Vold. Needless to say, it was a "delicious" event. Thanks to Bruce for  helping us out. And the winners are...In the Pickle Category - Bread and Butter Pickles-Lori Pladson; Baking Category-Breads-Blueberryand  Banana Bread-Deb Domier; Candy-Marilyn Bye with her delicious Fudge; Apple Category-Carrie Johnson; Vegetables-Pickled Carrots-Tiffany Tangen and Katie Huus; Applesauce-Deb Domier; Crafts-Joy Vaagene-Oil Painting; Jams and Jelly-Raspberry Jelly-Marilyn Bye and Salsa-Donna Stewart. Can't say there was anything bad, some hard choices, yum! Thanks to all of you that shared baking, canning, and crafts with us. Keep us in mind for next year. The day ended with music by the Hayshakers, a favorite of many. Lots of dancing and fun!

What's going on this week-

MONDAY-They had coffee, read the paper, played Recall, DDN, and Trivia. In the afternoon they had One to One Visits, Chain Reaction, coffee, Bingo, Nail Care, and the St. John Video.

TUESDAY-In the morning they had coffee, read the paper, played Jingo, DDN, and Trivia. In the afternoon they had One to One Visits, Spelling Bee, coffee, Buzz Word, One to One Visits, The Sunshine Club, Bingo,

WEDNESDAY-In the morning they had coffee, worship, Trivia, and DDN. In the afternoon they played the Price is Right, One to One Visits, coffee, Bible Study, Nail Care, and the Daniel O'Donnell Music Video.

THURSDAY-In the morning they had coffee, read the Newspaper, Exercise Group, Sensory Group, DDN, and Trivia. In the afternoon they had Nail Care, One to One Visits, played the Wheel of Fortune, coffee, Adele's Sing a Long, Crossword Puzzle, Happy Half Hour, and the Sunshine Club.

FRIDAY-In the morning they had coffee, read the paper, played Yahtzee. In the afternoon they had their weekly Dice Game, Quicky Bingo, coffee, and a Birthday Party for David Lucken, Happy Birthday!

SATURDAY-In the morning they had coffee, read the paper, Trivia, and DDN. In the afternoon they had One to One Visits, played Bingo, and had coffee.

  Happy Birthday this week goes our to Piper Retzlaff, Martin Belgarde, and David Lucken. Happy Birthday!

Sunday October 29th-Fall Festival-The Loyalty Club is sponsoring a Silent Auction along with the dinner-if you would like to donate an item for the auction please contact-Cindy Tredwell, Alice Verke, or Sharon Doeden. These items can be new products, food, services, handcrafted items, theme baskets, just to name a few ideas.

Also, the Loyalty Club is asking for Membership Renewals. Membership Dues are $20.00. This year the Loyalty Club sponsored a 50/50 Raffle, and they are sponsoring the Silent Auction on Fall Festival. The money this year will go to HPV's 2017 Fundraiser which is the new wood front doors for the Resident Rooms. You can drop of your membership at the Village with Marsha Reiter or mail it iIn care of Marsha Reiter @ 950 Dakota Avenue, Hatton, ND 58240.
