Hello everyone, it's Ronda with the weekly HPV News-

  Can you believe it? Here we are into the middle of August already! We sure have had some Fall like weather and Harvest is into full swing. I stopped out to the field the other day, pretty dusty out there, we can use a shot of rain for sure.

  Out here at the Village we have been making good use of the nice weather for some Patio Time. Have you checked out the flowers around the Village? They have really come around and are beautiful.

What's going on this week-

MONDAY-In the morning they had coffee, read the paper, had Recall, Trivia, and DDN. In the afternoon they had One to One Visits, coffee, Bingo, and the St. John Church Video.

TUESDAY-In the morning they had coffee in the morning, read the paper, played Jingo, Trivia, and DDN. In the afternoon they had One to One Visits, Spelling Bee, coffee, HPV Auxillary, Music in the chapel, The Sunshine Club, and Supper Club, on the menu grilled hotdogs, coleslaw, and chips.

WEDNESDAY-In the morning they had coffee, headed to worship, Trivia, and DDN. In the afternoon they had One to One Visits,played the Price is Right, coffee, Bible Study, Nail Care, walks outside, and the Daniel O'Donnell Music Video.

THURSDAY-In the morning they had coffee, read the paper, played the Number Game, Sensory Group, DDN, and trivia. In the afternoon they had One to One Visits, played the Wheel of Fortune, coffee, Sam's Ball, Crossword Puzzles, happy Half Hour, The Sunshine Club, and Music by Chuck Fox.

FRIDAY-In the morning they had coffee, read the paper, played Yahtzee. In the afternoon they had their weekly Dice Game, played Bingo, had coffee, and ended the day with Friday Night at the Movies.

  Happy Birthday this week goes out to Dean Lyste and Paige Norgaard. Happy Birthday!

Monday August 28th-Music by Theresa and the Plow Boys-2:30

Monday September 25th-Thursday September 28th-HPV Fall Rummage Sale at the Hatton Community Center

Tuesday October 5th-HPV County Fair Day-we are again looking for donations of baked good, canned goods that we can judge and share tastes with the Residents. If you would consider sharing please get ahold of Deb Domier. Thank You!

  Just a reminder that the Dietary Manager, Lori Pladson is looking for recipes for daily menus and coffee time treats. or dig out your favorite Holiday Recipe.

  We would like to invite you to share in our upcoming Music Events, the more the merrier.

  Just a reminder, we are still fundraising for our 2017 Project which are the doors for the Residents Rooms. The doors are in and they sure look nice. Those old metal doors had served there purpose and really needed replacing. Thank You to everyone who has contributed to this project with a memorial or donation.

  Just a reminder that we still do Blood Pressure checks, anyday, anytime, for free. Just stop at the Nurses Station and one of the Nurses or CNAs can help you.

  Pie Day continues to be a popular event, lots of company, laughing , and visiting in the Coffee Shop on Wednesday Afternoons. You should stop by!
